I’m the mobster’s forbidden bride.
I never wanted to do anything crazy. I’m a good girl, the total opposite of my reality TV star mother.
But in Vegas, anything can happen. Even marrying a rich, handsome stranger.
He has a ripped body and the cocky attitude to match. His name is Lucas, and he’s the dirty-talking heir to the Barone crime family.
I don’t know why he wanted to get married, but I couldn’t stop saying yes over and over again.
And it gets worse.
My crazy mother eloped with his mafia father. We’re one big happy family, right?
Lucas is so arrogant that he won’t let me go. I’m his wife, his step bride, and I’m stuck living with this secret in his family’s heavily guarded mansion.
If his dangerous father finds out the truth about us, we’re totally screwed. With a rat in the mob and the Russians coming after everyone, we’re living on the razor’s edge.
I need to divorce him. I need to stop wanting him. I need to get out of this situation before both our families are torn to pieces.
Step Bride is violent, very sexy, and features a hero with a dirty mouth. It’s only recommended for audiences 18+.

This was a straight in and to the story book, I was all in from the first page. this is very much a " Mob" story, the family is crime, so there is some violence though not as much or as graphic as I expected. The main focus is finding who has betrayed the family, and the relationship between Lucas and Natalie. Expect the crude, hot sexual language and graphic sex scenes. Its different, the content interesting, its not quite what I think of when I think Mob or Mafia, though you have the guards, the followers, the compound where they live, the secrecy but not the extreme violence or the bullying, the terror. You do get the love and even a little romance, there is the uncertainty at some points of the story. Overall it holds your interest you want to keep reading and it is so worth it, I loved it and even though I had a free copy I would have bought it and still reviewed just as favourably if I hadn't. it wasn't quite as intense as some of BB Hamels books but that doesn't take away anything from this at all, it still has everything to hold you and let you enjoy it
