After a troubling childhood, wealthy Evan Sinclair likes his life orderly and controlled. He rarely gives in to spontaneous urges—until he begins a chance correspondence with a mystery woman who sounds like his complete opposite. She intrigues and amuses him, and the interest seems mutual…which is more than he can say for his current obsession, Miranda Tyler, the tough-as-nails, sexy schoolteacher who’s made it clear she’s not impressed—or interested.
Miranda finally has it all: a good job, friends, and the security of living in the quaint coastal town of Amesport, Maine. She even has an anonymous pen pal—a man she’s never met yet has bonded with almost effortlessly. The only thing unsettling her life is Evan Sinclair. The handsome billionaire is arrogant, pompous, and far too used to getting his way. Miranda tries her best to avoid him, until Evan’s steamy kiss turns her world upside down.
Soon their red-hot desire is scorching the sheets and has them both spinning out of control. But when secrets are revealed, will their insatiable attraction keep them together or force them apart? In J.S. Scott’s The Billionaire’s Touch, the eldest Sinclair just might have met his match.
I really enjoyed this book, Evan has always come across as arrogant and stand offish in previous stories in this series so it was great to finally find out why. I liked the way the story begins and then builds into more after Evan arrives in Amesport, the way a tentative friendship gradually turns into more. The love and trust Lily shows to Evan from the start. Miranda has lost so much and is feeling a bit lost, but she has always felt the attraction from the first meeting. the feelings are intense between the characters, we get more of the childhood story the abuse suffered. the author also covers a subject that affects a lot of the population in currant times Dyslexia in a very sensitive and I informative way. In such a way that anyone that's not ever had to deal with it can understand just a little bit clearer, how hard it is for those that have it find it to read and see words and numbers . overview of this story is that its been very well written, the subject has been researched and understood and really helps to enhance and add to this book. The abuse side has also been handled well and sensitively giving the reader some understanding of how this type of abuse can affect how the sufferers live and behave. The descriptions of weather/scenery/houses are very clear helping the reader to see it in their head, feel the cold. I loved the way that as the story unfolds the family come together in support, in a way that overall none of them have ever had before from each other. The sudden clarity and understanding of each other and how their growing up the way each did had influenced them all, making them into the adults they are now. J S Scott has covered some very difficult subject matter in this book but in such a way that it really gives an enormous amount to it and the characters she's invented, she has also given the heads up leading us readers into at least 2 more stories from this this one. Well done J I personally cant wait for more
I’m the mobster’s forbidden bride.
I never wanted to do anything crazy. I’m a good girl, the total opposite of my reality TV star mother.
But in Vegas, anything can happen. Even marrying a rich, handsome stranger.
He has a ripped body and the cocky attitude to match. His name is Lucas, and he’s the dirty-talking heir to the Barone crime family.
I don’t know why he wanted to get married, but I couldn’t stop saying yes over and over again.
And it gets worse.
My crazy mother eloped with his mafia father. We’re one big happy family, right?
Lucas is so arrogant that he won’t let me go. I’m his wife, his step bride, and I’m stuck living with this secret in his family’s heavily guarded mansion.
If his dangerous father finds out the truth about us, we’re totally screwed. With a rat in the mob and the Russians coming after everyone, we’re living on the razor’s edge.
I need to divorce him. I need to stop wanting him. I need to get out of this situation before both our families are torn to pieces.
Step Bride is violent, very sexy, and features a hero with a dirty mouth. It’s only recommended for audiences 18+.
Step Bride is a standalone, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA.

This was a straight in and to the story book, I was all in from the first page. this is very much a " Mob" story, the family is crime, so there is some violence though not as much or as graphic as I expected. The main focus is finding who has betrayed the family, and the relationship between Lucas and Natalie. Expect the crude, hot sexual language and graphic sex scenes. Its different, the content interesting, its not quite what I think of when I think Mob or Mafia, though you have the guards, the followers, the compound where they live, the secrecy but not the extreme violence or the bullying, the terror. You do get the love and even a little romance, there is the uncertainty at some points of the story. Overall it holds your interest you want to keep reading and it is so worth it, I loved it and even though I had a free copy I would have bought it and still reviewed just as favourably if I hadn't. it wasn't quite as intense as some of BB Hamels books but that doesn't take away anything from this at all, it still has everything to hold you and let you enjoy it
Deeds has just spent the last few weeks jonesing after a woman he only knows as Hotlips. Apparently pissing off a female can be rather entertaining from the safety of a text and their witty banter has left the President of Broken Deeds MC wishing for more.
The annoying, yet funny, communication comes to an end when they meet face to face. Lynn is the sister of Zack, current president of Areion Fury MC. Brought up the daughter of an MC President, Lynn is hell bent on not being a biker’s bitch.
When an enemy of Broken Deeds MC comes to play, Deeds is willing to give his last breath protecting what he claims is his. Deeds, a former MMA fighter, will need to revive his old fighter skills to protect his woman. Will it be enough to bring their enemy down or will he not only lose his only love but also his life?

all is not what it seems with this story, an underlying mystery. I was riveted to this I could not put it down, it picks up where "Zack" ends and I personally feel you need to read that first. you get the background and relationship of some of the main characters as they follow through into "Deeds", and a feel for the story. this is MC with a difference, on the surface its what you expect. there's still fights, rules, bikes, drinking and competition. the sex is very intense and hot, almost consuming. you also get the inking and piercing side, the patches. Deeds is a hot alpha with an MMA background but he has a reaction to Lynn that sees his softer side, you almost expect this couple to combust the spark is so strong. there is a very good background mystery to this which gives it an added edge, its a subject that's horrifying but oh so true of things that happen in this day and age. reading this are on the edge of your seat at times, ducking to miss bullets because the author truly brings the scenes to life. you can see and in some cases smell them, the writing is very vivid, the colours, the sounds and smells are described so well. I loved this book, it made me think and feel, I was almost as consumed as the characters I was reading about, to the point of having a headache when I finished because I was just so in the story I couldn't stop to take a break. it followed me for a while into sleep, the story going round in my head. so good and I cant wait for "Broke" he's up next

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was excited to receive this ARC as I have not read Scott Hildreths books in the past. Alec A-train Jacob has been a recurring character in other books and a lot of readers have been anticipating his story. I actually came in to this book not knowing anything about A-train and I still thoroughly enjoyed his story. I will be going back and reading more from this author. He writes with a raw gritty tone that is unique and interesting. I liked seeing the story unfold through Alec's perspective. He is definitely an intriguing, thought provoking character. He is surprisingly spiritual and has no illusions about who he is at heart. Scott Hildreth writes beautifully and I found myself re-reading certain lines and paragraphs as it was simply gorgeous writing.
The first part of the book covers Alec's time in the marines. It is interesting to read the characters thoughts on his experiences in Iraq. After his wife's infidelity, and leaving active duty, he moves to Texas to start a new chapter for the MC. This is where he encounters Katie. I liked his approach to his and Katie's relationship. He is extremely respectful of her and doesn't rush the relationship. I won't go into further details on the story and spoil it but this book is a definite must read! The story is amazing and it is further enhanced by the masterful writing style of Scott Hildreth.
Lucky 13 received this book as an ARC for a fair and honest review.
Author Susan Stoker does not disappoint with her latest installment in the SEAL of Protection series, Protecting Melody.
Tex is a former Navy SEAL. His career in the Navy ended with a life altering injury. Now he is a wounded warrior who works behind the scenes using his formidable computer skills. He's helped all of his friends in life and death situations from behind his computer screen. It's from there, behind the monitor that his story starts.
He meets Melody "Mel"in a chat room and they strike up a friendship. After 6 months of chatting on line, she suddenly without word deletes her accounts and simply disappears. This is when Tex moves into action to find out what happened to his friend.
The chemistry between Tex and Melody is remarkable. They both harbor insecurities due to how people see them, along with fear of rejection issues. They both hide secrets, but when push comes to shove they both show their true selves. Melody is being stalked and the story has some big twists and turns. There was a part in the book when I was reading that I actually blurted out loud "oh no!"
Baby steals the show and she's my hero in every sense of the word!

Former homicide detective Camden Wilde has been in love with his ex-partner, Eva Cardoso, for longer than he cares to admit. Not that it matters. She’s shoved him into the friend zone, and after living through the hell of his parents’ violent deaths, Cam’s unable to give her the idyllic life she secretly desires.
Eva’s never met a person who hasn’t let her down. Cam may be sex personified, but he’s the only man she can trust, and there’s no way she’ll risk their friendship on the off-chance they could be more. Especially not after the one scintillating night she’s trying—and failing—to forget.
When a murder-for-hire contract on his head lands Eva on his doorstep, Cam knows it’s time to put up or shut up. He’s done biding his time, and he’ll be damned if he lets the delectable detective ignore what’s between them, no matter the cost.
Cam is the second youngest Wilde brother and he has had feelings for Eva since they were partners on the police force. When Eva comes to Jude and Libby's wedding (Wilde Security #1) as Cam's date, they give in to their feelings for each other and have a night of wild sex, but Eva runs away before they can talk about it. When they get back home after the wedding, Eva tries to avoid Cam but it is impossible once Cam has a price on his head.
Eva wants the whole dream; husband, house, 2.5 children. Mainly because she didn't have that kind of family as a kid. Cam just isn't sure he can do it, since he knows what it’s like to have a great family and lose it. Cam and Eva are both stubborn and it is like a tug of war battle to see who is going to win. Cam figures out he can't live without Eva pretty quickly but it takes a sting gone wrong to get Eva to realize she can't live without him.
The book has a great storyline, lots of action, and some really hot sex. Eva and Cam were made for each other in one of those two-of-a-kind sort of ways. Great addition to the series, which is getting better with each book!
Former Marine Jude Wilde's motto has always been "burn bridges and never look back," so nobody is more surprised when Wilde Security is hired to protect assistant district attorney Libby Pruitt, the woman he loved and left. Although she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Jude, they're forced to fake a relationship for her safety. He can't ignore the heat still simmering between them, and when her stalker's threats escalate to attempted murder, he's left with no choice but to whisk her away to a friend's safe house in Key West, FL.
Cooped up in paradise together, Jude begins to chip away at Libby's resolve to hate him. But even as she gives in to his proximity and her body's demands for his, she refuses to fall for his charms again. Maybe a torrid affair in the sun is exactly what she needs to get him out of her system. But when her stalker tracks them down, can they escape the steamy Key West night without anyone getting hurt?
Strong start to this series! We are introduced to Jude Wilde and his 4 brothers, who run Wilde Security. Jude, being the youngest brother, is thought of as the irresponsible, crazy one who doesn't think about his actions and how they affect others. He allows people to see what they want and he is hiding a lot of guilt and pain under his attitude. Jude is forced to confront one of his mistakes, when his brother, Greer, assigns him to protect Libby Pruitt from a stalker. The assignment allows him to show Libby he's not who she remembers and gives him a chance to redeem himself in his brothers' eyes. I really liked Jude and honestly felt for him, when everyone thinks he is just a big screwup. I wanted him to be able to show everyone who he really is and how much it has hurt him when people gave up on him.
All in all it was a great story, the sex scenes were hot and I love how the characters from this series interact so much with ones from the HORNET series!

Adam James is a corn-fed, Nebraska raised, piece of man meat with a chiseled body and baby face. He is in desperate need of a paycheck and will do just about anything to get one, including stripping down to his skivvies and lathering up in baby oil.
Solo Cohan is a quirky hipster with a strong work ethic, raised by two gay dads who are head over heels in love with Harrison Ford and Star Wars, hence the name, Solo. She works for Teeg Model Management, the same modeling agency that decides to book Adam as their next up and coming model. Sparks ignite between her and Adam the minute her baby oil soaked hand connects with his practically naked body.
Even though Solo can't stop thinking about Adam during photo shoots, she quickly and awkwardly, shows Adam her distaste for male models and her inability to engage romantically with them. Adam is captivated by her nerdy talk and peculiar tendencies and sets out to make it his mission to turn the Star Wars loving hipster to the dark side, where mingling with models is widely arousing.
"Hi, I'm Adam and I think Harrison Ford is a god."
I have never read a Meghan Quinn book before, but I wish I had discovered her sooner! Adam and Solo are very relatable and are such a great couple. This book really appealed to the geek in me and the Star Wars theme holds strong throughout the book. The story has a definite "don't judge a book by its cover" feel. Adam is a hot guy hiding a geek underneath. He is also trying to hide the reason that he needs money so bad he is willing to have lots of half naked pictures taken of him. Solo is a total nerd hiding behind all her hipsterness and she is hiding the reason she won't date a model.
"She wasn't your typical in-fashion kind of girl; she could care less what was on her body, which was the same way I felt. As long as it was comfortable, I was good with it."
I loved seeing the modelling world from the man's perspective and how the models deal with being "man meat". How the job can be physically demanding but not mentally demanding.
"It's why we don't have girlfriends; we're for show...we're glorified trick ponies. Women only want us for our bodies, not our minds."
All in all, it was a great book. There was a lot of setup for other characters, so I am hoping we will get more stories from Teeg Model Management and Ms. Quinn!
Review of Black Dawn (Titan Series #8) by Cristin Harber:
This is a hands down 5 star read! I have the maddest of love for Cristin Harber, and so do many others, judging by her accomplishments as a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author! We have been waiting for Parker’s story for a while, and it did not disappoint.
I don’t usually do this in reviews, but I feel the need to offer my opinion on some issues that I have read in a few reviews of Black Dawn. First, I will caveat that this book could hold triggers for those that have suffered from domestic violence. If that is the case for you, then you might want to skip this one and enjoy the other Titan series reads, as they are all outstanding in different ways. That being said, I feel that Cristin nailed the ugliness, and emotional and physical aspects of abuse, and captured beautifully the irony and apparent contradiction demonstrated by a strong, intelligent, and accomplished woman who becomes afraid to leave a bad situation and has no self worth. This was an integral part of this story and needed to be described in detail to ensure that the reader could relate to Lexi and the reasons for her actions.
Next, some have said that the hacker and cyber worlds were not portrayed accurately or realistically, and that there would never be a social media site that would contain personal data on military families. One of the things I LOVE about Cristin is her imagination and her attention to detail. From what I have seen in the other Titan stories, she does her research and can break down a technical topic into terms that a non-techie can understand. Also, as someone that has some insight into the government world, I can say that some of the scenarios from Titan stories that some may think are unrealistic, are closer to truth than fiction! Cristin is absolutely a genius story teller and I would love to know some of her sources, but she will never tell!
Some reviewers were disappointed that Parker’s story did not have the same level of action and guns as the others. I actually enjoyed the change of pace, and the idea that intelligence can be the most powerful weapon is very cool and very sexy. And make no mistake, Parker is certainly capable of coming out with guns blazing when necessary!
As always, I love reading about my #1 book boyfriend, Jared, also known as the boss man of Titan, so it was nice to get my fix of him in this story and I loved catching up on some of the women of Titan. The part where even the pregnant wives helped out during a stakeout was priceless! I also enjoyed the unlikely friendship that arose between Lexi and Sugar.
As is typical for Titan couples, the dynamic between Lexi and Parker was hot and explosive, and these two are definitely soul mates destined to be together.
Finally, we were introduced to a few new Titans, so it looks like there will be more to come from this series. Hooray!
This is where we will post reviews, pimp books and authors, and announce releases and covers. Enjoy!
